Business/Systems Solutions Analyst

Location Ann Arbor MI
Long Term Contract (2 years with renewal)
Position Summary:
The Solutions Analyst is responsible for the customer business requirements elicitation, solution approach and representing the needs of the customer to the implementation team.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Expertise in the solution offerings and represents these offerings in customer communications, scoping decisions and solution analysis and recommendations.
• Works with the customer to decompose requirements into more detailed functional, non-functional requirements
• Works closely with the Engagement/Project Manager to define scope for the project and align customer expectations to the schedule.
• Based on customer requirements and platform capabilities, assesses functional feasibility and identifies the solution approach and presents this to the customer for alignment.
• Documents functional specifications and configurations based on customer requirements.
• Ensures requirements are tested through traceability tracking, test plan and results review.
• Represents the customer/voice of the customer for the H&WS implementation services project team
• Creates customer facing documentation for new features or changes to existing features
• Interfaces and collaborates with Product, Technology, Finance, Quality Assurance and Sales
Mandatory
• 8 years technology industry experience
• 5+ years as a business or systems analysis supporting software development projects
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in computer science or information technology
• Requirements elicitation techniques and skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with many levels in an organization
• Experience in customer/professional services and or consulting background
• Experience with collaborative team software tools (SharePoint, JIRA)
• SDLC experience SDLC practices such as requirement management, requirement traceability, requirement prioritization, software development (application programming, database, and system design), software quality assurance testing, and product launch.
• Work independently on complex strategic projects.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Desired
• Business Analyst or Project Management Certification
• Experience in software development
• Experience in the Healthcare or Pharmaceutical Industry
• Experience working in organizations using Agile software development methodologies
• Experience working in a software as a service (SaaS) environment
• Master’s degree in computer science or business administration
